Pre Beat Stationery Design

Pre Beat Ltd. contacted us after finding us on twitter, shortly after out SBS winning re-tweet by Theo Paphitis.

They had an existing logo that was colourful on screen, but when printed looked flat. We discovered that the logo was designed for screen in RGB and when converted to CMYK used colours outside of the printing gamut, causing the colours to become dull.

After supplying Pre Beat with some print safe colour alternatives, we progressed onto the stationery design, which again we designed with print-safe colours in mind, giving the client a reassurance that what he was seeing on screen, would be replicated on paper.

ink/drawn holding page

Does your company need a temporary holding page? This solution is perfect when you haven't quite got everything in place to have a full site built. Whether it's because you are too busy, or just not sure what you want to say or put on your site, a holding page shows your company still wants a web presence.

ink/drawn came to Full Fat Designs in need of something quickly, as business cards had been created and given out with www.inkdrawn.com on them and people were greeted with a 123-reg welcome screen - not the best first impression.

A design was agreed and the holding page was up in no time, the client happy and now with that off his mind, could concentrate on what to put on the main... coming soon!

Chocol8s of Market Bosworth

Boards are back from the printers for chocol8s of Market Bosworth. These two boards should grab peoples attention to point them down the small alleyway towards Courtyard Candy where chocol8s of Market Bosworth are based.

The best part about dropping these boards off for the customer? I get to buy some of their amazing chocolate. I definitely recommend the large chocolate buttons they made, so solid and tasty.

Look out for the website, which should be coming in the next week or so.

Find A Web Designer - Designer Portfolios

After having the Full Fat Designs website accepted into the coolhomepages gallery, I have set up one of their portfolio pages for the agency. The sizes of the jpgs you can upload at 900px really show off your work and make up a great page.

You can view Full Fat Designs page via the link below.

Targeting Restaurants and Pubs in Leicester

Do you own or run a restaurant or pub in Leicester / Leicestershire? Then you could be receiving one of the new wine bottle flyers from Full Fat Designs. One side shows all the graphic design services from logo design to catalogue as a red wine bottle. Then the flip side lists the web design services from flash banners to html websites on a white wine bottle.

The envelope was printed with a message of having a drink with Full Fat Designs, and inside an apology that the bottle wasn't real (as it wouldn't fit in the envelope). The main aim was to try to appeal to the food and wine trade with a visual statement and show them what can be achieved in one flyer. Around 100 of these were posted out, hopefully some make it past the instant binning stage and get read by a potential new client.

Touch Local & Scoot

After a lot of thought and many hours listening to companies telling me why their advanced/sponsored listed is best, a decision was made. We opted to go for the combined package from Touch Local & Scoot. It's tough when you can see how so many of these systems can work for you, but realistically you can't go for all of them due to tight budgets.

TL&S were the cheapest option and we felt would offer a great starting point to see how much extra interest it achieved. Their monthly stats for the keywords we were interested in (graphic design and web design) seemed a good price. We will post the response on here after a few months.

accelerateme.co.uk with the Leicester Mercury

I have just entered Full Fat Designs into the running of the accelerateme scheme running alongside local newspapers. The Leicester Mercury and The Harborough Mail are two local papers that I have been long readers of, for both news and to gather company information.

Selected businesses can win free advertising and mentoring from marketing and training experts, with the overall winner getting a years worth of personal mentoring and support from Dragons' Den Judge Deborah Meaden.

Either of these prizes would be a great boost for any small business, I am hoping Full Fat Designs does well.
